Burilán Cycle Superhighway

The Burilán Cycle Superhighway is a grade-separated, long-distance cycle track that, once completed, will run for 10.3 miles from Burilán, on the edge of Dalow, to the city centre. There will be two lanes for cycle traffic in each direction.

History

The Burilán Cycle Superhighway was announced as part of Dalow Transport Services' "Connect the West" initiative, which saw upgrades to bus and train services as well as cycling. Construction began in January 2020 and the route was partially opened, between Burilán centre and Ínos Road, on 5 December 2021. The remaining part of the route is scheduled to open in late 2022.
